I was so excited because I can work in a multinational company
Sales coordinator, the position that I applied to this company
I reached there an hour earlier
I was so lucky to get a legal parking once I reached
I thought I would be super lucky today
Because everything just nice to me
10:45am
I entered to the office
A woman smile to me & say 'have a seat 1st'
I filled up the form
A Japanese man came in with the woman I met just now
Interview begins
The woman talked & explained the job scope & other details to me
Everything was smooth
Overall the woman seems like happy for me
I'm feel ok too
(The Japanese man was quiet in the whole interview)
When the woman end her talk
The Japanese man start asking me few question
He asked me
"What do you think old people?"
I was shocked
Why he asked me this kind of question
I think I answered it well
The man satisfied on my answer too
He asked me another question
"How many jobs did I apply before this interview?"
I answered "5 jobs"
He was surprised
He told me
He applied 100 over jobs
(He starts telling me about how Japanese fresh graduate apply a job)
After that,
He take a look on my expected salary
He told me that
I was overestimated my salary
I get shocked
Then starts telling me his Japanese culture
And told me worry I cannot afford on my job scope
Advice me not expect too high on my salary
I understand this
Based on my research from jobstreet
Normally fresh graduates able to get RM2500
(The woman praise me is a smart girl for this)
I wrote RM2600
As I saw their website
They offer RM2500 for this position
I was thinking why you say my expected salary is high?
If you think it is high then why you stated RM 2500 for this position??!!
And the end
I feel like
I'm not really this job
As this job have to deal with dealers, re-sellers & customers
Sometimes I need to travel to get in touch with my dealers
The Japanese man showed me that he expect me to adopt his culture
This company will be very strict to me
And I really don't like him
And the way he speaks English is so hard for me to hear what he is saying
Based on this situation
Finally I can deeply feel why some people will prefer to work as a promoter
Is to avoid office politics
Besides that
If I were a boss in future
I shouldn't treat my employees so harsh
Must be NICE to them
你好 他好 大家好
After my interview
I went to 1U to meet my baby
And have lunch with him
Mistakes:
1. Shouldn't say "because you called me 1st, so I go for this job"
Good answer: Because based on my research, I found that your company is a potential company for me to learn new things and gain experience"
Lesson learned! =(
